Shooting Events

Shooting events held Bi-Monthly
We proudly host our shooting events at the Regional Shooting Facility in Reno, NV, offering a safe, well-maintained outdoor range perfect for practing marksmenship on their long distance targets, close distance pistol practice, or anything in-between.

Range Rules & Expectations:

  • Safety is priority #1 — all members must follow posted range rules and Club safety guidelines at all times.
  • All first-time attendees must complete a short safety course provided by our club. This ensures everyone can confidently and responsibly handle firearms before joining the live event.
  • Eye and ear protection is mandatory for all attendees while on the range.
  • No alcohol or substances are permitted at the range or before attending, failure to comply will result in removal from range and potential termination of club membership.
  • Firearms must be transported unloaded and only handled at a range bench.
What to Bring:

  • Your own firearms and ammunition
  • Hearing and eye protection
  • Food, water, and any necessary gear (chairs, sun protection, gloves, etc.)
  • A respectful attitude and a willingness to learn and help others
At this time, shooting events are planned on a bi-monthly basis, with details and invitations typically sent out about one month in advance. Dates and event formats may vary based on range availability, member interest, and weather conditions. Be sure to check your email or the MemberDay portal regularly for the latest updates.

Looking to become a Range Safety Officer?

We’re currently working to train club-designated Range Safety Officers (RSOs) to help supervise and support our shooting events. Having trained RSOs in the club ensures that everyone can participate safely, take turns shooting, and avoid having a single person sit out to monitor the line. By building a rotating team of certified RSOs, we’ll:
  • Improve safety oversight at all shooting events
  • Share responsibilities fairly among members
  • Allow more flexibility and fun for everyone involved
If you're interested in becoming an RSO, let us know — we plan to offer club-sponsored training in the near future.
